Today we are showcasing the nursery of a lovely client who recently welcomed a new baby. The expectant parents envisioned a room that their little girl could grow into. They wanted to embrace all things pink and feminine in a way that would look sweet enough for a baby, yet sophisticated enough for a big girl’s room in the years to come. We are so happy with the final design and hope you love it as much as we do!

Our wonderful contractor installed custom-made radiator covers throughout the house. Beautiful and functional, in the nursery the radiator cover functions as a place for setting down books, toys or bottles after rocking baby to sleep.

We love the blush pink color of the wallpaper. It is a soft pink that isn't too 'young' of a color. We selected the Villa Stripe wallpaper by Schumacher. Butterflies have a special meaning to our client and we wanted to find a way to incorporate them into the design of the room.  So we searched and found these Kono Butterflies 3 from Natural Curiosities. You can purchase these on our site!

The gorgeous, Art-Deco inspired Bardot Large 3-Drawer Dresser in Natural adds sophistication to this nursery. Our client loves all the storage for the many outfits for this precious baby. The soft close drawers are amazing! We styled it with the Porcelain Vase Lamp in Pink and the Willow Bough Mirror. The mirror was on backorder for months and I have to say I knew it was work the wait. I didn't want to do something brass since we were framing the butterflies with a gold frame. I wanted it to stand out but not too much. The bone inlay is precious for a nursery.

The built-ins are styled with a mix of new and old books that belonged to our client as a child, as well as some of her vintage baby items.

One of the new items we added is the Pehr Pom Pom Mini in Bunny Hop. Instantly recognizable, Pehr's pom pom baskets come in a variety of colors and sizes which makes them perfect for book and toy storage in any nursery or playroom.

You'll see more close-ups of these built-ins in an upcoming post about the art of styling shelves. We get lots of questions about this topic so if you're confounded by the empty space, don't worry, you're not alone!

The sweetest little details on top are the floral ceramic purse and the monogrammed silver brush set. You can never go wrong with items that are passed down, as it's those little sentimental touches that make a room really special.
