We like our Bloody Marys to be a meal so for us, the more fixin's the better. Right!? We're talking bacon, cheese, okra, stuffed olives, cheese straws, pickles, hot peppers, celery and old bay dusted shrimp to name a few of our faves. Also, the spicier the better in our book!

New Years Eve Party Guide | Featuring Defined Designs

New Years Eve Party Guide | Featuring Defined Designs

We're so thrilled to have Emma Newell of Defined Designs Blog here sharing her favorite Mintwood Home party-ready products to help ring in 2016!

Nothing is more fun than push-pop confetti, however, we do recommend making this an outdoor activity...we speak from experience. We also love Emma's idea to use the quartz rock box for collecting each guests best moment from 2015 and reading them allowed after midnight.

We think that every NYE party cocktail should be served in a gold rimmed glass! Coasters are also a must-have when entertaining, scatter them around before guests arrive and hope for the best.

You already know that anything black and white and gold is a must-have in our book. Serve up a classy charcuterie board and a fruit salad for your guests.

When our friend Kelly of Winifred Paper invited us to be a part of this styled Valentine's Day shoot, we were over the moon. We had no idea what to expect but the experience alone was more than we could have ever asked for. Spending the afternoon in the presence of such creative, talented women and entrepreneurs left us feeling energized and inspired beyond measure. While we are thrilled to be featured in this post on Style Me Pretty Living, we are even more grateful to see our name alongside such talent.

Ok, enough gushing, go check it out for yourself because these photos are to-die-for! xo

Mintwood Mixology: Peppermint White Russian

With only two sleeps left until Christmas, we wanted to share a quick and easy cocktail recipe that you can easily make for your family and friends this week. A fun twist on the traditional white russian, adding a bit of peppermint makes it perfectly festive and a great treat for the season. Merry Merry & Enjoy!

Mintwood Social: A Cheerful Christmas Spread

The Holiday season is officially in full force and we could not agree more that this really is "the best time of the year!" Whether you're hosting a cocktail party for your besties or having your family over for Christmas dinner, it's always fun to have a beautifully decorated (and not overly involved or fussy) tablescape. So go ahead--pick that holly out of your neighbor's yard, add a sprig of rosemary to your napkin tie (smells great too), spray paint pinecones gold.  Nothing too fancy but it sure looks good.

Merry merry!

Mintwood Mixology: Cinnamon Spiced Sangria

Fall means crisp, cool weather, lots of tailgating and time spent outside with family and friends. This yummy sangria recipe makes us want to do just that. Our marketing director, Caroline Lawler, recently had this at a friend's fall themed cocktail party and swears that it's a must-share recipe! We love this twist on a classic and think it would make a great addition to your Thanksgiving cocktail list.

Mintwood Social: Pass the Cranberry!

Whether you're hosting a friendsgiving throw-down with your besties, being put to the test serving your first ever turkey-day feast, or are a certified turkey roasting expert - we're sharing our tips and inspiration for creating a beautiful setting.

Friendsgiving, our favorite new holiday!

Plates: The chances that you have matching plates and silverware for the entire "listserv" of people that you've invited over are not that high, but that doesn't mean you can't have a great looking and PRACTICAL friendsgiving spread. Get a few people to bring the plates, mix them up and place them stacked at the beginning of your buffet line. It looks intentional, relaxed, and dare we say, kind of cool!
Wine: Let's be real. Friendsgiving isn't Friendsgiving without copious amounts of wine. Are we right?
Silverware: Stack it in mason jars next to the plates. This saves space and keeps silverware organized.
It's Fall Y'all: Fancy place settings? Girl, please! Get outside and pick up some pretty fall leaves, add a name tag, and taa-dah, everyone will be super impressed by your crafty nature decor.

A Typical Thanksgiving Feast!

This Thanksgiving table setting provides the perfect backdrop to celebrate what's really important - the friends and family around the table.

Place Settings: These DIY placemats are an easy and thoughtful way to ground each place setting. They also make a great conversation starter. What are you thankful for? Gold spray painted pumpkins are also a fun and easy way to spice up each place setting. Guests can take them home or leave them behind.
Fun Adult Beverages: Specialty cocktails are always a hit, look for something easy and seasonal that will fit in with your traditional meal.
Centerpieces: Pumpkin flower arrangements are an easy way to utilize any leftover pumpkins from Halloween! Simply scoop out the insides and use oasis to put together a fun fall arrangement.
